How ADOS is remaining active during the pandemic.
Our Response to the Current Pandemic:
Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, many of the businesses and life as we know it in the world were altered. Nevertheless, ADOS DMV members continued to work to inform people on social media about the various food pantries, senior citizen store hours and senior citizen meal home deliveries via Meals on Wheels and other entities in the area.
Our contact was online on the ADOS DMV Region Facebook page and via personal direct messaging. In addition, we had to work creatively in order to get word out about the various churches like Ebenezer AME who raised money to give people $50 Giant Food cards and Maple Springs Community Church that provided hot meals like grilled chicken breast, brown rice and chick peas with oranges or apples.
